We're now on Etsy...

As well as having our eBay shop, we are now selling our vintage pieces on Etsy too. For those unfamiliar with the website, it provides a platform for buyers and sellers to reconnect and enable people to make a living selling handmade, vintage items and supplies.
Rather than bidding on an item and keeping your fingers crossed while you refresh and rebid against your auction competitor, it allows the buyer to purchase an item on the spot.
We have a number of items available to buy now, so please have a look for further detailed information.
All our items on Etsy are exclusive from the ones we have live on eBay. You can visit our Etsy shop here.

"Louis, Louis..."

Louis Féraud (13 February 1921 – 28 December 1999) was a French artist and fashion designer with a career spanning from the 1950s through to today.
After settling down in Cannes, Féraud soon met Brigitte Bardot in 1953 and went on to design the wardrobe for the siren for many of her films. Known for dressing the Parisian Elite, Féraud soon presented his haute couture Fall / Winter collection in Paris in 1958 alongside such iconic couturiers as Lanvin, Givenchy, Dior and Balenciaga.

“Fashion is not created to separate people but to bring them together; it is a rendez-vous of love."
- Louis Féraud

He was known for his bold geometric patterns and for hiring unknown designers such as Jean-Louis Scherrer, Margit Brandt and Per Spook during the 1960s, giving young talent a chance in the brutal world of fashion.
Here is a great video providing you a snapshot portfolio of some of his works...

We are delighted to say we have one of his beautiful pieces available to buy now. A striking dark green leather dress, with structured shoulder pads and panelled leather front with cord detailing down the sides. This well loved dress has super soft leather and is a definite statement to add to your wardrobe.

The dress is currently available to buy and you can view measurements and more detailed pictures one our shop here.
To round off this post, here is a video of one of Féraud's fashions shoots in 1986...

Sayonara (goodbye)...

We are delighted to say that both of "The Jam" t-shirts have been sold to an exhibitor in Japan!
As far as we're concerned they couldn't have gone to a better home, somewhere that they can be displayed and admired for their history and relevance.

Mods vs. Rockers...

From two of the most iconic rivals of the 60s and 70s, we're bringing you a slightly different version of Mods and Rockers. Here we have three items for sale as of this weekend, all rare 1970s memorabilia. Our first two are The Jam memorabilia t-shirts, one of them coming from their Setting Sons tour of 1979. For serious collectors or avid fans, these t-shirts have a slightly scooped round neck and are small fitting, sure to bare a bit of midriff, but look classic teamed with a pair of flares or slim fit jeans.

With Paul Weller and The Jam came an unstoppable force that consisted of deafening volume and sharp tailored suits which contrasted with the punk movement of the time. Their songs struck a chord with teenagers all across the UK who were quick to follow the band's look thus forming a new identity for a new generation.
Here is an insightful snapshot of the time that conveys the attitude and driving force of The Jam...

Our third is “The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Time Warp” t-shirt. Handsomely aged, the material is almost paper thin and worn to a pastel orange, from much love. The front says “DISCO SUCKS LET'S DO THE TIME WARP!” with the character Riff-Raff performing the famous dance. On the back there are the instructions on how to do the Time Warp along with diagrams. This t-shirt is a rare find and in excellent condition for its age.

Here's a little reminder...
