The Dead Leather?

The leather biker jacket has been around for decades and isn't going anywhere fast. A good biker jacket is a great investment piece. They are pretty much indestructible, durable and weather proof. A sure winner for any wardrobe.

Here's one of the best examples of how cool the biker jacket is, worn here by Jack White and Alison Mosshart of The Dead Weather in their debut video for Treat Me Like Your Mother directed by the incredible Jonathan Glazer...

60s on trend...

The bulky September issue of Vogue certainly states that 60s is on the fashion forecast for the up and coming season. With the androgynous model, Sojourner Morrell showcasing some of the bold cuts, clean white lines, houndstooth notes and leather coats, the essence of the sixties definitely resonates well. We love her as she has that boyish, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Patti Smith air about her.

Ending later this week, we have a men's and women's black biker jacket up for auction...

Accessories are key to finishing off the look; either knee high socks, big bold glasses, blunt bangs and muted autumnal colours seem to run through this sixties trend feature.

One of our favourite eras, the swinging sixties, is both rock and roll cool and boldly feminine whichever way you wish to wear it. Whether it's the festival spirit, monochrome minis or boyish skinnys and leathers, the 1960s has the fashion ability to suit any taste.
